Monday 7th April

Kathryn Salkeld’s impressions of Monday
Today has been really awesome, we started with devotionals led by Margaret, it was really good spending time praying together and going through a study to keep us focussed and it really blessed me as I realised that God had been trying to tell me some things and having time to stop meant I could hear.
We could not visit the Catholic school unfortunately but we went out to local trailer park projects and distributed “pamphlets” advertising our Kids and Soccer club.
After lunch we went to window rock “which was a rock with a hole in it” – quote from Beth. It was nice to spend time with Dennis and Peewee and see one of the natural wonders which they are so proud of.
The best part of the day was that we visited a local prison! We were all really apprehensive as we had our own stereotypical thoughts and a few of us were panicking about dramas! But it was such an amazing experience and not what any of us expected, there were a few last minute changes but we could see God leading what we did – which was so good! It was really wonderful to experience Gods love for those men. We had a full house and loads had to be turned away because of safety regulations! Which was really emotional for us, please pray for those men.
We have just had a McDonalds in America – which is not any different! We can fill our own drinks though!
Thanks for all your prayers, really good stuff is happening 

So good to hear about your day - we prayed a lot about the prison so it's really encouraging to hear what happened.

In our little prayer meeting last night all our prayers and songs (Steve Potts played his guitar) we kept coming back to God being our sound foundation, surer than the rocks and mountains around us. Also Isa 40 v27-31 and kind of Ps 121, that you would see God in all that happens and in all that you do, even the bits that you feel 'are just rubbish' you would see that little diamond that is God.

Have a great day today.

lots of Love

Hey Everyone,

Good to hear you having a great time. Even though sometimes the blood starts pumping and we don't think we have what it takes to complete the task, God always supplies abundantly and exceedingly more than we need or ask for Praise His Name. Keep your faces towards Jesus and even if you can't hear what He is saying you can lip read!!

Lots of love and God Bless
Jill.

Great to read your news. I (Miriam) remember doing an outreach in a Polish prison (I was really worried at first too) but God touched the lives of the men in an amazing way. I believe that God will cause the seeds you have planted in their lives to really grow. You may never know what a difference you have made.

God bless you all and continue to use you to make a difference.

Our love

Really good news that you finally managed to go into the prison-take it they let you all out again.
Sounds like the Lord is really using you guys and that you are being a blessing to both each other and to the folks out there.
Looks like there is some amazing scenary-and to think God created all this for our enjoyment-awesome!
Keeping looking to God u guys and rest in the knowledge that he is using you all powerfully.
It was really good to hear how Mark ministered through his testimony the other day-take encouragement Mark in how far God has brought you and how much he is able to use you.
Also really encouaring to hear that you had a good response to the message Dave-we continue to pray that Jesus will continue to shine through each of you as beacons to all you minister to.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARGARET.

Hi everyone, what an amazing day!
You are all very brave (I know God gives us strength but you still had to take the first step). Very proud of Kathryn (I know pride is a sin but I'm sure I'll be forgiven).
I've (Liz) been cleaning Kathryn's room (a mission in itself) and praying for you all.

Hi there! Logging on a bit earlier today! Hoping that I will remember password and not have to write this again! Glad the prison thing went well., Was but worried that they wouldn;t let you out or you would cause a riot or something! Good to see Beth and Kathryn singing on the pics- am sure it was beautiful!! (what lovely harmonies!)
Wished I was in the car with you all yesterday....
Looking forward to hearing how Soccer camp went! Bet colin will be tired out! Ha ha! As you can tell I am abit happier today,
Liz - why are you clearing out Kathryns room? Is this not a forbidden task? Derek and MAry - do you really take Richard tea every morning.. what a nice thought!!! (Only joking, he does do it sometimes!) Enough babbling now, love you all lots xxxx

Good to hear all is going well.
Glad prison went well and you were allowed to go in, sounds great.

I do have 2 questions

1 Does Colin know how to play football?

2. Does Richard know what football is

I think it is good that Dave T is there.

Have Fun

Got your prayer request today - the e-mail was brill cos I just forwarded it on and told everyone to check their in box.
Wondered if we should ask someone in the church at Gallup to be blessed with a years free wireless, broadband doobri wotsit? (you need to say that with a scouse accent to read it!!)

Lots of Love

Ro

PS Liz - I just tell Katherine that Beth is coming round to take a photo to show in church. Alternatively, less embarrassing is to tell her I'm buying extra bin bags!!

Great to hear all the news and how to encourage young ladies to keep their rooms tidy.
However, are very concerned not to hear anything about Chris and Sue. Are they still with you or are they taking an extended stay for ministry in the Prison?
Look forward to hearing more soon.

A brilliant God led day, sounds like many seeds were sown amongst the prisoners visited today. So glad David did his room before he left!
